About IPERS Jobs

A free, independent place to find Iowa public-sector jobs that build an IPERS pension.

Why this site exists

Iowa's public employers — school districts, cities, counties, community colleges, universities, and state agencies — post their openings across many different hiring systems. There has never been one simple place to see them all together, filter them, and understand which ones build an IPERS pension. That makes it harder than it should be for Iowans to find their next public-sector role, especially someone who was recently laid off and wants to keep growing the pension they've already started.

IPERS Jobs was built to close that gap: gather Iowa public-sector openings into one searchable board, free, with no account and no sign-in.

How it works

Several times a day, the site collects job postings directly from the official hiring systems that Iowa public employers use. For each posting it keeps the basics — job title, employer, location, county, salary when listed, schedule, and the close date — and links straight back to the employer's own application page. We don't collect or store anything you do on the board, and applying always happens on the employer's site, not here.

You can browse every current listing on one page, or filter by employer type, county, city, salary, and full- or part-time on the main board.

What it doesn't do

Independent and free

This is an independent project, not affiliated with IPERS or the State of Iowa. It's run by one person, and ads are the only thing covering hosting costs — that's what keeps it free for job seekers, with no paywall and no account.
